In 1986, a group of local pharmacists opened Sickroom Supplies in downtown Ebensburg, PA to address a need in the community for an easy, accessible source of medical equipment. As the company grew and the need for a bigger space intensified, Sickroom Supplies moved to a different part of town and was renamed Laurel Medical Supplies. From
1992 to 2009, Laurel Medical Supplies was located in what was then the Jamesway Plaza in Ebensburg. Laurel Medical Supplies continued its growth
through the 2000s with the end of this decade proving to be a pivotal time in the company's growth.
In 2008, Golden Orthotics & Prosthetics was formed and joined the Laurel Medical Family, with its first location in Duncansville, PA. Then in 2009, Golden O&P opened another office in
Johnstown, PA in the College Park Plaza and it continues to do business out of this office today. ​Also in 2009, Laurel Medical Supplies moved into its
current corporate headquarters building at 405 South West Street in Ebensburg.
In 2014, the Laurel Medical Solutions brand was established to bring the Mobility/Accessibility/DME/Respiratory and O&P businesses under one name and expanded its Ebensburg showroom. Today, Laurel Medical Supplies, Inc. operates two locations, Laurel Medical Solutions (Ebensburg, PA and Johnstown, PA)
